National Book Critics Circle Awards announced.

March 13, 2015

The National Book Critics Circle Awards for 2015  were announced yesterday.  The winners are:

Autobiography: Can’t we talk about something more pleasant? by Roz Chazt

Biography: Tennessee Williams: mad pilgrimage of the flesh by John Lahr

Criticism: The essential Ellen Willis, edited by Nona Willis Aronowitz

Fiction: Lila by Marilynne Robinson

Nonfiction: The problem of slavery in the age of emancipation by David Brion Davis

Poetry: Citizen: an American lyric by Claudia Rankine

Sno-Isle owns all of the title except for The essential Ellen Willis.  I am glad to see a graphic novel win the autobiography prize.
