RIP Travel Standing Order

August 11, 2011

We have decided to abandon the travel standing order we have maintained for years with Brodart, starting this fall.  The link to this on the intranet will disappear soon as well.  After some analysis of circulation and buying/requesting trends, it seemed to make more sense to buy somewhat fewer copies of a wider variety of guidebooks on a case by case basis.  Especially as we get a slightly better discount with Baker and Taylor and Ingram than we do with Brodart, the financial aspect supports making this change as well.
