Collection Maintenance Best Practices

August 17, 2010

up on the intranet for the Collection Development Department is a PowerPoint on Collection Development Best Practices which replaces the videos that were done early last year.  the PowerPoint will be a heck of a lot easier to update than the videos as the process continues to evolve.

the presentation is a great training tool for new staff, as well as for those who need a refresher.  included are lots of photos illustrating a particular physical condition of a book and which path it should take to the Service Center, ~purge or ~review.

suggestions and comments are welcome!

Hi! Would you be able to send me this PowerPoint? I don’t work for you, but would be interested to see what your library includes. Thanks so much!
