Hilary Thayer Hamann has a sort-of debut novel coming out on May 25th that is getting some attention, “Anthropology of an American Girl.”  the sort-of part refers to the fact that Thayer Hamann originally self-published the novel in 2003 that apparently had a following.  the cliché-free, starred PW review starts with

If publishers could figure out a way to turn crack into a book, it’d read a lot like this.  Originally a self-published cult hit in 2003 (since reedited), Hamann’s debut traces the sensual, passionate, and lonely interior of a young woman artist growing up in windswept East Hampton at the end of the 1970s.

    I’ll read it, you know I’ll read anything! Actually, I have enjoyed all the Arcs I’ve read. I guess I really will read anything.
