Candy of Smart Bitches with fans Marin and Lorraine
last week-end, Lorraine and i headed to Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park to attend Candy’s book signing for “Beyond Heaving Bosoms.” it was a 45-minute reading in which we got to play “choose your own romance” and romance mad libs in which many naughty words were uttered into a mic for innocent bystanders to appreciate. funny and educational. both Lorraine and i left with signed copies, mine with the line “librarians are HOT!” indeed. thanks Smart Bitches!

injunction injunction, what’s your function…. it looks like “60 Years Later: Coming Through the Rye” by Fredrik Colting, aka John David California, will not be coming to a U.S. library or bookstore near you anytime soon. a judge in the U.S. District Court in Manhattan “issued a preliminary injunction–indefinitely banning the publication, advertising or distribution of the book in this country–after considering the merits of the case.”
