rock the house!

November 8, 2008 · 3 Comments

With your phone, yeah your phone.

Now you can use your iPhone to control your music system wirelessly throughout the house.  Of course, it’s stereo equipment so you need to spend money,  to make it all possible–you’ll need a Sonos Zone Player, but the app is available for free through iTunes.  The real innovation though is that you can download the  controller and any updates to the system for free, and the system works with the coolest internet radio stations out there, Pandora as well as lastFM.

Clearly, as cell phones become the way we manage our everyday lives and much, much more than a way to remind the spouse to pick up milk, bread and eggs on the way home, libraries need to make sure our customers feel we are cell phone friendly.
