Okay, so it’s not exactly collection related, but this is useful so what the the heck.
I recently installed Adobe 9 and immediately started having problems with viewing PDFs. What happened was that I’d open the PDF, it would appear momentarily, and then my browser would crash, didn’t matter whether it was IE or Firefox. I’m sure Adobe will offer an update, to solve the problem, but until they do try this it worked for me.
Go to filehippo.com and get the latest version of Adobe 8.

We are NOT aware of any such problem…can you please post complete details of the problem including system configuration, etc.

I just installed 9.0 Adobe. Have Firefox 3.0.4. Go to any PDF on the internet or machine. Try to open. Adobe crashes and takes down the browser too. Running XP Home.
There is an issue as I have seen this on three other Windows machines today. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Same issue.

I’ve got a similar problem. Have Firefox 3.0.4. Go to any PDF on the internet (not the machine!) and it will not load it – I get a blank page with an empty dialogue box with a question mark in it. Can’t seem to fix it. Going back to earlier version.

I have the exact same problem ever since getting the Adobe 9 upgrade. Browser crashes in Firefox or IE.

I have the same problem. Adobe 9 crashes the browser whenever you try to open a pdf file on the internet

have recently downloaded adobe reader 9 and now cannot open any pdf file. I have tried going back to a previous restore point but this did not help. what do I do now?

Using Facebook go to open a large picture in applications and sytem locking up. Worked last week but have had to reboot 4 times this AM

same problem. Tried to load a page from one of our apps at work. It would flicker, flicker and flicker but nothing ever appeared. We were told by the app. team to uninstall Adobe 9 and reinstall 8.
